have said about Adam Virgo the player? Would have liked to hear his opinions of some of his lesser performances in the stripes.
The team could do with some of his commitment & enthusiasm though.

Was thinking the very same when watching him describe the clip of the Swindon play off goal.

Was it something like players flourish under pressure and we knew no matter what we had to give it our all.

Not much evidence of that out there today.

Virgs was a red faced blowhard but proper Albion and proud of his shirt. I think he'd say "that boy is all heart, not much talent, but all heart"

Never forget his goals when he was playing as a centre forward.....

We could do with a load more grafters like him now.

What I heard of his comments in the car on the way home led me to believe that he is less than impressed with the players and their commitment to the cause. Maybe I misheard but he sounded pretty critical to me.

There's a massive difference between the team spirit and passion of those days and now. In the Cullip/Oatway/Carpenter/Virgo/Kuipers days it really was All for One and One for All. And they played for each other, not the manager. Why can't we recreate some of this with the likes of Stockdale, Calde and ... er ....
