He is big, tall, won every header that came his way, put him self about and scored a well taken goal, before fluffing a great chance given to him.

This is exactly the opposite of our woeful ogrady.

We are seriously lacking up front, even paddy had a right go at ogrady when he played the ball across the face of the goal fora tap in!

If that **** burke, Sami and the Welsh menace can't see that we need a player like revell, then we are in the shit?

If he is better than our current strikers we are in trouble.

We are in trouble, and he is nothing like the player I remember. He still gives everything, but is actually incredibly effective now. If he was in our squad he'd be the first name on the team sheet.

Imagine NSC if we reach the level that their number 10 is better than what we've got.

If Revell is everthing we are missing then we really are in much worse shape than I thought!

But he did things a striker is supposed to do .... including scoring a goal ... which none of OUR strikers appear to be able to do. OK, he missed an easy one too, but at least he was in a great position to score with only the goalie to beat ... our strikers never seem to be in that position.

He won EVERYTHING in the air against our two CB's (one an international, one supposedly attracting premiership attention), and scored a nice goal from feet. Hard to argue with the OP.

What is harder is the idea that we have somehow got to a situation where we are looking longingly at a striker we all celebrated getting 150k from.

If you watch any of the 'Be Bold' videos on the club website (you don't need Seagulls Player) then you can see one major thing we're missing.

If you can't afford real quality, then you can go a long way on a never say die attitude.

If you think Alex Revell is the answer then you haven't understood the problem.

I actually have ross...its staring us in the face every week. We need a striker who wins the ball in the air and worries central defenders.....and can score. = alex revell. It is right what was said earliers, he is a million times better player that went to Southend.

We can do worse than chase him. Or find someone like him.

This reliance on two no better than league 1 strikers will cost us a place in this division.

Come on Dave, you remember Alex Revell from withdean days. Bags of enthusiasm, ran about like, yes, 'a headless chicken'. Sort of the CMS of his day. But we outgrew him and moved on. Fair enough he had a decent game today but its purely the sheer rubbishness of our strikers performance week in week out that make a very average striker look good in comparison.
