As we all know our goals scored to attempts ratio is appalling. And, as mentioned in other posts, any attempt to improve this problem must surely be welcome - the idea of fans with fluorescent over sized arrows directing where the ball should go is brilliant.
Better still, if the club could come up with a giant size arrow, say the size of a large canoe and give it to the fans behind the goal in the North stand (and the South). So at the appropriate moment our targetless strikers can lock on with missile like accuracy and do what we all crave - score.
Now this little marketing ploy can also be a double edged sword in our favour. For when the opposition are threatening our goal the said fans can use the arrow to indicate the corner flag thus psychologically putting the player right off, making him miss the goal by a country mile and demoralising him for the rest of the match - result.
So come on Mr. Barber give it a go. You never know, if it's successful think of all the money the club would save by not having to buy another striker.
