I'm hoping for some serious replies by the way.
No problem at all , about time we opened our borders so that these chaps could join us and boost our economy .

In which case a few additional options on the poll might help - such as 'benefit the country economically', 'makes the NHS sustainable', 'taken over care of the elderly'.

Bit of a loaded poll. Where is the option for there isn't one?
For some sadly, the answer IS 'culture' (broadly) - they look different, dress different, act different -and it threatens people.
For others you need to expand 'they took our jobs' to a broader 'they are an additional stress on public resources / job market / housing stock / school places / nhs / benefits / etc'. There are some genuine concerns within that, imo.

The majority of immigrants to this country through the last 100 years have settled in well, have respected the British or rather the western European Christian based culture and have assimilated into the UK whilst maintaining their own traditions. I think for example of the west Indians, the Irish, the Caribbean Blacks, the Jewish people from various eastern European countries etc.
in todays society most immigration is still without problems, however there is a small number of immigrants who come from countries that are massively different from ours culturally , eg Pakistan, Saudi Arabia, Yeman, Afghanistan, etc who maybe used to some types of behaviour that in this country and in Europe we find unacceptable. Eg treatment of woman, treatment and attitude towards gay people, attitude towards people that don't share the same religion as them. Understanding of democracy and human rights etc.
I am not saying everyone from these countried and others all hold the same views but a significant number historically have done according to various polls that have been done and this can become a problem if these people then move to live in the UK.

Most of these bloody foreigners come here and work hard. The cheeky *******s. The NHS is full of these damn foreigners taking all our jobs. And there are even foreigners teaching British people along side bloody foreign students in our world-renowned British universities. If only they could be like the perfect people of the UK who live and work in the UK until the day we die. We need to fill in the channel tunnel with cement and build a 1000 foot wall around the UK.
How about not enough houses (Free ones), NHS can't cope, not enough school places, 18 % of the prison population are from over seas.Wage compression.
But none of the options are serious - they're just soundbites from anti-UKIP people who have somehow got it into their heads that controlled immigration means no immigration, which it quite clearly doesn't.
