Huddersfield 1-2 Brighton*

Will Buckley’s two first-half goals secured a fourth consecutive away victory for Albion, as they overtook Huddersfield to move up to seventh in the Championship. Buckley got the Seagulls off to a perfect start in the fifth minute with a clinical finish after latching onto Bruno’s incisive pass. He then scored the second and decisive goal just before the interval with a fine solo effort. Buckley almost completed a hat-trick in the second half after his curling shot produced a fine save by Smithies. The Terriers then netted a consolation strike in the 90th minute, as Simon Church finished from close range.

Huddersfield 2-2 Brighton

Albion left West Yorkshire with a share of the spoils after gaining a hard-earned point away at Huddersfield in their battle to avoid the drop from League One. Lloyd Owusu’s strike past the hour mark was enough to keep the Seagulls just outside the relegation zone. Andy Booth gave the hosts the lead in the 16th minute with a superb header in what proved to be his last home appearance of the season. Calvin Andrew levelled the scores for the blue-and-white-stripes with a header of his own before Michael Collins restored the home side’s advantage after slotting home Danny Cadamarteri’s pass. The Seagulls then showed their character once again to score a second, as Owusu managed to force home an equaliser from Andrew Whing’s long throw-in.

Huddersfield 0-3 Albion

Jake Robinson’s hat-trick gave Albion a memorable victory, as the Seagulls extended their unbeaten run to four matches. The youth-team graduate gave Brighton an ideal start in the 23rd minute after nodding home Dean Cox’s cross. Cox was the provider once again for Albion’s second goal, as Robinson volleyed the ball home off goalkeeper Matt Glennon’s legs. Robinson secured a resounding victory for Dean Wilkins’s side just five minutes after the interval with a rising strike into the net. Matters then deteriorated even further for the Terriers, when Danny Adams was sent for a rash challenge on Alex Revell, as the Seagulls claimed an emphatic win.
