So what did we learn today?
For me, it was proof that the formation is no good, but other than that?

We learnt something.......we were right weeks ago when we said we need a decent striker....today we learnt that lesson once again

For me, it was proof that Gordon Greer has only one eye. He simply cannot see Calde waiting out on the wing in acres of space.

We also learnt that if the opposition have a better squad, are well organised, use a decent formation and have a wealth of attacking options we probably won't beat them. Valuable lesson.

No height upfront and urgency costs us

Also Stockdale needs to arrange the defence better

both we've known pretty much since the start of the season.

We also learnt that the way to disable the opposition keeper is to give him so little to do that his muscles seize up and he goes down with cramp.

How many defeats will it take for one to complete the learning process ?

Slow football wins nothing in this league.

We are woefully short up front.

The Amex feel good factor is now consigned to history.

With respect, we could have had 2 world class strikers today and the score would have been the same. I have not witnessed such lack of movement, imagination or ideas for a very long time at a football game as I did today.
It's as though the team had met for the first time today having never played together before. Boro seemed to sensed this and we made them look a lot better than they actually were.

Sadly, This. Today was poor, created 1 opportunity for Baldock and that is the yard stick by which he is being measured.

He may have had a run through on goal in the first minute if the ref had played advantage. But yes, that was it: one chance, which he made a hash of so badly that it was almost a good layoff to COG!
