As our Tony loves stats, according to Soccernomics, the 5th ranked manager between 1974 and 2010 who, incidentally, is not in a job is.....

David Moyes

Colin does not feature in the list. (Bob Paisley ranked 1, Sir Bobby 2, Sir Alex 3 and Arsene 4)

PS. After extensive research, Soccernomics also says that "The vast majority of managers appear to have almost no impact on their teams' performance and do not last very long in the job. They seem to add so little value that it is tempting to think that they could be replaced by their secretaries, their chairman, or by stuffed teddy bears without their league position changing. In typical football talk, the importance of managers is vastly overstated"

Not sure, he wants the right job. We have a brand new academy, nice shiny new stadia, it's ripe to grow and move up the ladder ala Southampton with the right leadership

Warnock is being moved upstairs by the Pikeys and doesn't want to go there. Knows the championship well, and he has the know how to get us out of this crap and up to where we belong before it becomes a relegation scrap !

I bloody hope not.

Clueless.

I actually like the guy, but he's useless.

Yes clueless, why would we want a manger with his win ratio in the Championship, wins far too many games, would be boring (not withstanding the fact he's actually got a job at the moment).

Moyes is looking for a role, get hime in even part-time to help Sammi out. Just don't let him near money, he did and good job at Everton with no money and an even better job at Manure with money

Really starting to think if sold right, this could be a job that could be sold to Moyes...just an opinion

Don't think we'd have to worry too much about him having too much money here. Not that he'd come - he'll end up somewhere like Newcastle.

Thought that when I saw his interview ... nailed on for Newcastle I'd imagine. Anyone who thinks he'd even stop to consider a struggling Championship is ... well ...

Why would you want Warnock as manager! Moaning about officials again today, like he has done for the last 20 years! Seems to think getting at the officials is a worthy tactic and will never forget his pathetic antics at Withdean when manipulating Prosser into sending off 2 Albion players!A game we were controlling and would of won! Boring moaner and has found his level at Smelhurst!
