Brighton & Hove Albion enjoyed an emphatic 5-1 victory away to Tottenham Hotspur on Saturday.
Albion's exciting attacking play proved too much for the Spurs defence, with James Tilley scoring a clinical hat-trick and Jordan Maguire-Drew bagging himself a magnificent brace.
Simon Rusk would have been pleased with the whole team performance, as his side displayed both a solid defence and a variety of attacking interchanges.
The Seagulls took the lead when Maguire-Drew’s exquisite turn opened up enough space for a perfectly-waited through ball to Tilley, who produced a tidy left-footed finish.

Albion had to wait until the 41st minute to extend their lead, defending solidly and patiently before launching a counter attack with fluent transition. The goal came when Maguire-Drew was released down the left flank, using his pace to latch onto the Will Collar's long pass before attempting an audacious chip from far out wide, which floated over the opposing goalkeeper's head and into the net with style.
The second half brought more of the same, as Tilley punished the hosts' failures to clear the danger by poking the ball home on 47 minutes after seeing his initial attempt blocked.
Just a minute later, however, the deficit was temporarily reduced, as a ricochet fell kindly at the feet of Shayon Harrison, whose deflected finish pulled a goal back for home side.
Any chance of a Spurs comeback though looked unlikely, and was put out of the question in the 66th minute with another wonderful goal from Maguire-Drew.
This time he used his left-foot to curl a spectacular free-kick into the top corner from 30 yards out, completing a pair of wonderful strikes from the winger.
The day’s work and Tilley's hat-trick was completed fifteen minutes from time, after some great skill from Connor Pring combined with an excellent pass set the forward through on goal. Tilley finished accurately yet again, with a low drive across goal that found the bottom corner.
