A number of Brighton & Hove Albion players have been involved with their respective squads on international duty at youth team level this week.Jake Forster-Caskey played the full 90 minutes for England’s under-21s as they beat Croatia 2-1 in their European Championship play-off first leg at Molineux on Friday. The midfielder will travel with the rest of the squad for the second leg in Vinkovci next Tuesday.
Goalkeeper Christian Walton was also on international duty for the Three Lions and was an unused substitute in the England under-20s’ 1-0 win over Germany at the Four Nations Tournament in Heerenveen. Walton was also named in the starting line up for the following match to face the hosts, Holland on Saturday, 5pm kick-off.

Meanwhile Albion academy players, Dessie Hutchinson and Harry Doherty were part of the Republic of Ireland under-19 squad for two recent friendlies against Sweden.Doherty played the full 90 minutes and Hutchinson made his international debut in the first game against the Swedes, as Ireland won 1-0.
Hutchinson was to feature again for the second game, coming on as a substitute for the final 20 minutes in a 2-2 draw.
Ragnar Mar-Larusson was another member of Albion’s under-18s to taste international action, playing the first 52 minutes of Iceland under-19s’ 7-3 defeat to Turkey in a European qualifier on Tuesday.
