Brighton & Hove Albion fans can have their photo taken with the FA Cup trophy when it comes to Sussex on Saturday. The trophy will stop off at the BBC Sussex studios on Queens Road, Brighton, as part of a special feature on the Danny Pike show in the build up to Whitehawk’s FA Cup 3rd preliminary round tie against Chelmsford City – the only FA Cup tie taking place in Sussex on Saturday.
The cup will then make its way to Whitehawk’s Enclosed Ground, where fans will have the rare opportunity to have their photo taken with the trophy.
Chief executive of the Sussex County FA, Ken Benham, said, “We are absolutely delighted to have secured the visit of the FA Cup to Sussex. Opportunities like this don’t come around very often, and I hope the people of Sussex take that opportunity and head along to Whitehawk on Saturday to have their photo taken with the prestigious trophy.
“I hope having the FA Cup at Whitehawk will give the club the extra inspiration and support, from the expected bumper crowd, to see them to victory over Chelmsford City and into the next round. It promises to be a great day!”
