The man is an utter buffoon (though not because of this particular incident- there's no reason on earth why he should have heard of the Wests, after all).

Far more frightening is the fact that he's serious contemplating entering the US Presidential race for the (I think) 2016 election. I assume he'd be a Republican candidate as opposed to an independent. Can you IMAGINE a world where Donald Trump is effectively in charge?

Correct me if I'm wrong, but he has no political experience whatsoever, does he? His only qualification for the job is being outrageously rich. And yet, you have to suspect there's a reasonable chance that, if he stands, he will get in. Terrifying.
