Not nice to hear. I hope he gets better. Sounds bizarre that they say his health isn't a problem anymore but he needs time to rest. To me that says he has a heart condition and it struggles with the big highs and lows of management. I hope we see him again soon in another role

stress is both, the details are scant but the chest pains seem undefined. seems he's not willing to risk it, fairly sensible imo. but i doubt his talents will go to waste on a golf course either, coaching i assume must be pretty stress free.

I still resent him quitting our club because I actually think a second season would have got us promoted, plus, the bloke has got real class. Managers have coped with heart problems before, and there are drugs to deal with the issues. I think he has copped out again.
