Seeing as Ian Curtis killed himself in May 1980 it is hard to justify Joy Division as an 80's Band.

Although their successors are arguably THE 1980's Band.

Primal Scream may have formed in the '80's, but they are a '90's band to my mind. The Clash for me.

omly The Clash and Big Country out of that lot for me that would count as 80's bands - I'm sure the Clash will get plenty of support so going for Big Country.

The Clash edge it over Joy Division for me but a very tough group, very strong especially when you compare to weakness of UB40, Spandau Ballet et al group.

This is a group of death with Joy Division, the Clash and the Specials.

Has to be the Clash
