Know it's early days 'n all, but if we're going to give him a song, think the Derry Pele would appreciate a nod to Derry's most famous musical sons, The Undertones..two options...to the tune of 'Teenage Kicks':

Pat McCourt's so hard to beat
Every time the ball's at his feet
The Derry Pele is one cool dude
He's in our team, it feels so good

He makes defenders look like shite
Paddy McCourt is dynamite, alright!

...or to the chorus of 'Jimmy Jimmy', we could just sing 'Paddy Paddy'...

Agree that's what I've been singing, but when I put the words up on the paddy pic I got a bit excited and put " I don't think you really understand" Doh but couldn't be arsed to go back and change it
Roll on tomorrow at forest hopefully it gets belted out, whichever version gets sung

I'll be taking a metronome tomorrow so we can all sing it at the right tempo
Hopefully I'll get as excited as the last time we played away at Forest

Scans better if the first line is 'Please play McCourt...'. Go on, you know you want to mess around with it again.

Both of these made me laugh, probably more than they should. I think the first has potential. apart from the pause needed after the first line.
