Albion could face two of their former bosses in consecutive games.
Russell Slade, targeted by Cardiff, has resigned from Leyton Orient.
Cardiff are at the Amex next Tuesday and Albion go to Watford four days later.
Watford manager Oscar Garcia, the Seagulls' head coach last season, was released from hospital on Sunday after a week of tests and monitoring for minor chest pains.
The Spaniard is likely to be back in charge by the time Albion visit Vicarage Road.
