Albion will travel to Spurs in the fourth round of the Capital One Cup after cruising at Burton tonight.
Goals from Rohan Ince, Kazenga LuaLua and Craig Mackail-Smith secured a 3-0 win over the League Two side.
But the Seagulls lost Inigo Calderon to a red card in the 88th minute.
Ince headed home and LuaLua fired in from outside the box in the first half.
The Seagulls*survived a brighter spell from their hosts after the interval and settled the contest when Mackail-Smith hooked home a shot on 66 minutes.
Paddy McCourt was heavily involved in two of the goals.
Calderon saw red when he stretched for a bouncing ball with his boot and caught Marcuss Harness, who was going for it with his foot.
But that was the only blemish for the Seagulls.
Fourth round*ties take place in the week commencing October 27
