Not the best of starts - Sussex 7 for 2 with star batters Joyce and Nash already gone! Come on - it's only Northants!

How did we avoid relegation?

Love the negativity of the Northants commentator.

"Sussex in charge" :)

Can someone remind me of the scores we are hoping for in order for the DREAM of 2nd place to become a reality?

With a win or a draw we will snatch 3rd
With a win and Durham beating Warwickshire we may sneak 2nd spot , saying that Durham are batting and are 65-5

Score 250 and/or take 6 wickets THEN draw will be enough for third.

Not sure it is.

That would give us 206. Even if we get 207 to move clear of Notts, still leaves Somerset and Durham potentially to get more than that and mean we come 5th?

I think we need 215/ 16 points to def get 3rd?

Was going quite nicely at 172/4...

(Until both Wells AND Yardy decided they'd batted long enough)

172/6

So Wells equals his highest score of season and flies past Tredwell in 4 day batting averages by 0.06 of a run to 31.2 (26 innings)!

Anyone recall our last season when a Sussex opener didn't get a century all season in any format?

Rubbish by sussex and when they bat they will make it look so easy and get a massive score and Sussex will be hanging on for a draw against a really really poor side
