As much as I love the Floyd, their glory era was the 70s. The only released two albums in the 80s, one of which was brilliant but a Waters' solo piece in all but name, and the other which was just...meh.

can't say I'm surprised to see twice as many votes for the jam as anything else in this shabby group.

If it was best live group then it'd have to be Queen, not really my thing but one of the best British live acts.
But it's not so has to be The Jam.

I love a good live album but rarely do they offer anything new in terms of original music so no, I won't count them in this competition.

each to their own i suppose

The Final Cut would be in my top 10 of 80`s Albums in a heartbeat.....its fracking brilliant!

I can't see anyone touching the Jam. every one of their albums was a masterpiece (even The Gift) and they were as good a live band as any I've seen (and I saw a lot of bands in the 1980s).

Weakest group for me, not a big fan of anyone here. 70s Floyd would stroll it but this is 80s Floyd, grim...

Went for The Jam, but how do you compare with Queen and Floyd? Both much bigger bands
