Asked Lou Macari for a job - Macari made him kit man.

When he lost his job in a circus he told his mum he had a new job to go to tomorrow at Keele University - "when did they offer you that?" she asked "tomorrow" he replied!

I went to Keele Uni, and played for his club. I seem to recall that he applied for the England managers job every time it became vacant.
