Good for him, good lad. But isn't it a tad sad that they have to have an award for an act like this? It's a shame that someone being honest and an actual sportsman results in an award, and is not just seen as 'the norm'.

Take nothing away from the lad or the award though.

Fully agree.

However, if the award does reverse the trend away from it being the norm, then it's done its job.

It would be nice to see football adopt something like this. It's in far more need of it than cricket. The 'fair play' award is given to the team with fewest yellow cards, which isn't necessarily indicative of 'fair play'.
