We are not getting into the positions to score goals and that's the main problem"
Sami Hyypia

Brighton & Hove Albion boss Sami Hyypia has told his players there is no margin for complacency following today's 0-0 draw with Blackpool at the American Express Community Stadium.Hyypia wasn't happy with his team's first-half display, and although he felt they improved after the break and dominated overall against the Seasiders - he says there are obvious areas for improvement.
He said, "We need to be at our best level at all times – in every minute of every game. You cannot switch off and you can't perform below standard.
"If we play at our best, we will get results, but we have to understand how difficult it is to get results in the Championship and to do everything we can to get those results.
"My biggest task is to get our players to understand what is expected from them and that means we need to remind the players what we expect in every situation. Sometimes we have to be hard on the players but it is important that everybody understands what they need to do."

Albion had their best chance in the first minute, as Adrian Colunga went one-on-one with Blackpool keeper Joe Lewis - and although the Seagulls peppered the visitors' goal, Hyypia wasn't happy with Albion's sharpness in the final third."We started well. We moved the ball and played like we planned. We had a good chance at the beginning of the game but did not score and then at some stage we went walkabout. It could have been a different game had we scored early.
"We weren't urgent or intensive and that affected the offensive side. The movement was not there anymore and although we played in good areas at the beginning, the final ball was not always there and we need to work on that a lot to ensure that we are more dangerous in the final third.
"We are not getting into the positions to score goals and that's the main problem; we need to address that and we need to work on and think of how we can improve.

"The attacking play was better in the second half. At half-time I wanted to get things right and I had to say a few words. We started the second half much better. We had to start to work and start to run a bit more and increase the intensity in defence."
