Sami Hyypia says his team's performance was more worthy of boos at half-time, not at the end of the 0-0 draw against Blackpool at the Amex.
The final whistle was greeted with mild booing by some fans as Blackpool picked up only their second point of the season and left the Seagulls winless for four games in the Championship.
Hyypia told The Argus: "The fans pay for their tickets to see the game and they want entertainment. Sometimes a 0-0 can be a very exciting game but today maybe wasn't as exciting as it could have been. They have the right to do that (boo) but that doesn't help anybody.
"I can accept maybe in the first half, when we maybe lacked this passion or attitude to work hard and really put intensity into the game, that might be a good reason to do that.
"But if the game finishes 0-0 and the team tries everything they can to win then that is a not a reason to boo anybody, so that doesn't help anybody. I think the reaction (of the team) in the second half was very good."
