Any recommendations for getting a good breakfast in or around the Royal Albion area. Heading there next week and looking for somewhere that would do a good breakfast to set us u for the day

Depends what you want.

Bill's on North Road is hard to beat for a quality full English, Eggs benedict or fruit/granola type of breakfast.

Proper greasy spoon stuff then the Market Diner is excellent

Coffee/croissant stuff then Red Roaster on St. James's Street is good. Also plenty of caffs up there too.

Best one for me is "Billie's Cafe" upper north street.
That's one road up from western road. They have a online menu and it's so good. It has a que out onto the pavement on weekends.

I've been going to Figaro's in George Street recently. very friendly and cheap, with outstanding old world decor. There's also Wetherspoons if you want some good hardy tucker.

Blimey, do they still do those? I remember a gutbuster was mandatory after falling out of the Gloucester at 2 am 20 years ago.

I took the future Mrs H in there on about our third date. She knew then what a good thing she was on to...
