Brighton & Hove Albion held their annual team photocall at the American Express Elite Football Performance Centre today and the event proved to be a resounding commercial success.
*
Twenty of the club’s key partners attended the event and had the chance to pose alongside the team which, according to Business Development Manager Paul Rogers, was a chance to say thank you for their invaluable support.
*
He told seagulls.co.uk, “It’s an opportunity for us to get all our partners together. Today we had 20 key partners here with American Express represented and many of our lounge sponsors and club partners.
*
“As well as being a powerful marketing tool, it’s a nice memento to have as a lot of these guys are big Albion fans and the opportunity to have their photo taken with the team is very rare.”Rogers explained how the event, and the number of partners attending, has grown year-by-year.
*
“When we first started at the Amex Stadium, Brighton and Hove Jobs were our shirt sponsor and we had Bupa, Lifestyle Motor Group as lounge sponsors and American Express obviously.
*
“But we’re getting to a point where most of the commercial assets within the stadium are assigned, we do have however have some opportunities at the training ground which we have launched recently.
*
“You never get bored of going to the Amex, but the opportunity to come here [to the American Express Elite Football Performance Centre] gives our partners an idea of the scale of what the club are trying to achieve with the academy and all the facilities which the pros have got to work with on a daily basis.”

Two of Albion’s biggest partners, Mayo Wynne Baxter and Porsche Mid Sussex, explained how important it is to be associated with the club.
*
Andy Crabb, general manager of Porsche Mid Sussex, added, "It’s the first time I’ve been here and it’s a fantastic facility.
*
“All the business people you need to know are associated with Brighton & Hove Albion. It’s brought everybody in Sussex together and it’s very useful for us to come to networking events like this and continue to be involved with the football club.”

Laurence Elphick, head of business development at Mayo Wynne Baxter, has been involved with the Seagulls for many years and was thrilled to be at event today.
*
“The benefit of Mayo Wynne Baxter to be associated with the football club is that it is probably the biggest brand in Sussex alongside the main sponsors American Express.
*
“It’s incredibly important that we raise our profile via the connection with Brighton & Hove Albion and for me personally today is about meeting the other sponsors. To come here is amazing, plus I got to have my picture taken with Sami Hyypia so that can’t be bad either!”
