Brighton & Hove Albion striker Craig Mackail-Smith says the team will get back into the groove, after they headed home empty handed after a 2-0 defeat at Ipswich.He says the team will aim to bounce back against Blackpool at the Amex this weekend, “There’s still a long way to go, we’ve got well over 35 games to go, so once we get back into that rhythm on Saturday then we’ll put ourselves back into a positive position.
“It’s difficult for supporters; they want to see their team winning week-in, week-out and it’s frustrating when they don’t, but you look at the results in the Championship, the top teams lose to the bottom teams, teams put six or seven games unbeaten go right up the table.
“Obviously it’s a long way to go this season but we’ve had fairly dodgy starts before so the thing is getting a bit of momentum now.
“The international break killed us a bit. We were four unbeaten and it took the steam out of us a little bit, so we’ve got to build that up again.
“It’s nice to have a home game Saturday, hopefully get a positive result and get that momentum going again.”

The striker also felt the Seagulls’ showing at Portman Road warranted at least a point.“We played pretty well, we kept them at arm’s length and we had a couple of half-chances ourselves but the keeper pulled off some good saves.
“It is disappointing to concede two goals late on and maybe a draw was a fair result. We both had chances, but in this division if you take your chances and score then you get three points and that’s what they did towards the end and we couldn’t get back into it.
“We did well and for 75 minutes we were compact and we limited them to chances. On the counter-attack we seemed bright and we could’ve had a couple of goals on another night and towards the end maybe fatigue or tiredness kicked in and we allowed them to score two goals.”
