Albion were hit by a pair of late goals as they suffered defeat at Ipswich tonight.
A close-range strike by Jonny Parr on*79 minutes sent the Seagulls towards a 2-0 reverse.
Darryl Murphy’s volley from out wide in the 88th minute gave the scoreline a misleading look.
Dean Gerken was the busier keeper for much of the match, his best saves coming from Sam Baldock’s drive in the first half and Lewis Dunk’s header in the second.
David Stockdale matched them with a brilliant tip over from Tyrone Mings.
But Parr forced Ipswich ahead minute in the 79th when he pounced on the rebound after Stockdale saved from Jay Tabb.
Murphy seemed to catch the Seagulls keeper unawares with his volley which ended the contest.
