I have these 2 to see at the London Film Festival next month that i hope will suitably chill. I don't seem to remember anything deliberately horrific or shocking for some time in cinema, but i suppose the best of horrors have usually come from non-mainstream places and one has to delve to find.

My mate suggested I watch a film called The Signal last night on Movie Tube as it was free, thats an hour and a half of my life I wont get back.
Very low budget and very very odd film indeed, although this surprised me as it had Laurence Fishburne in it !

Our Day Out In Croydon, is one of the most harrowing and psychologically disturbing documentaries I have ever seen.
Definitely not for the unbalanced or depressed mind and certainly NOT for children.

I found Human Centipede one was quite good for that too.

The first two "Rec" films are amazing.
The strangers is worth checking out too.

Eden Lake. A trip to a lake goes very wrong. Those pesky kids, eh.

Has some disturbing scenes, but the horror builds nicely, with an awful twist.
