In different positions you need different types of players throughout the season"
Sami Hyypia

Brighton & Hove Albion manager Sami Hyypia has given fans an insight into the factors which influenced the club’s transfer dealings during the summer transfer window.Albion made a total of 11 signings during the window and Hyypia has stressed the importance of bringing players who strengthen the full squad, rather than just focusing on the starting 11.
*
The Albion boss has already revealed that he intends to fully utilise his squad this season, and rotate the team where necessary to cope with the demands of Championship football, and he told seagulls.co.uk, "There are many things which affected the decisions to sign players, but at the moment we have a variation on different types of players.

"I've thought about the squad more than first 11 and I can change something in each game, analyse the opposition and see which players we need in different positions and go from there.
*
"In all areas of the field all the players know the task and I would like to think whichever players are on the pitch, they can play to the same level. That way it keeps everyone on their toes.
*
"In different positions you need different types of players throughout the season. For example we've signed some big strikers and some small strikers, but strikers are there to score goals and work defensively with the team."

Hyypia also feels the benefit of the upcoming international break will allow him extra time to integrate his new signings, after a hectic period of fixtures to kick of the season."The last two weeks have been difficult. We have not had much time for tactics on the training field because we have played so many games and some of the players have had just a five minutes crash course on the tactics before they have had to play. Everyone has done very well under those circumstances.
"This week we have five days to train and every day there will be something tactical to integrate the players more and more into our system. This time is very important. We will only be missing Joao from our new signings; all of the others will be there and that gives us the time to work.
"We also have a few days off for recovery, but the training days are very important. We need to improve our tactical game and we will also run a little bit to gain the energy to play the six or seven games that we have between the two international breaks."
