I'm absolutely delighted as it was an excellent team performance, particularly in the first half."
Simon Rusk

Brighton & Hove Albion under-18 coach Simon Rusk hailed his side's display following their 2-0 win against Norwich City on Thursday. An own goal from Kofi Boateng and a Dylan Barnett header secured the victory - the side's second inside a week.Rusk told seagulls.co.uk, "I'm absolutely delighted as it was an excellent team performance, particularly in the first half.
"It was a very confident and technically efficient display from the players. The way we passed and moved was very impressive and we were well worthy of our lead at half-time."
"We created enough in the first half to be three or four up at the break and were a bit disappointed to only be 2-0 up."
Albion got off to a flying start after just three minutes when Boateng turned Jack Rowe-Hurst’s corner into his own net after pressure from Ben White at the back post.

Brighton then doubled their lead when Barnett worked himself some space inside the box and headed home from a Jordan Maguire-Drew delivery.Rowe-Hurst was one of a number of Brighton players who had chances to extend the lead before the break as he went clean through but couldn’t quite finish the move off.
Norwich were then reduced to ten men after 40 minutes as Boateng was dismissed for a professional foul.
Brighton maintained their fluid passing play in the second half but couldn't extend their lead.
"Second half we weren’t as clinical and penetrative in front of goal but we completely dominated the game in terms of possession," added Rusk, whose side beat Fulham 1-0 last Saturday. "I have been nitpicking at the boys to improve certain bits, which we have to do, but overall the boys put in a really excellent display.
"We got our win and overall it was an excellent performance."
Albion: Doherty; Barnett (Tilley 60), White, Barclay, Courtney; Wiltshere (Mayers 85), Hutchinson, Maguire-Drew, Tighe; Pring, Rowe-Hurst (Mar-Larusson 70).
