David Stockdale charges forward in the dying seconds
First published in Albion by Brian Owen
David Stockdale reckons Albion can go into the international break on a high – despite dropping home points.
The Seagulls goalkeeper rumbled forward for the late corner from which Lewis Dunk extended the unbeaten run to four games in league and cup.
Albion now have almost two weeks on the training ground before kicking off a busy September at Brentford.
Stockdale said: “I think we hit the break at the right time.
“We’re pleased in one way with the point after how the game went.
“We’re also disappointed if you look back at the chances we had to finish it but we’re four unbeaten now and it’s a run.
“We’re not losing and we fought back at the last minute.
“You are going to get those games through the season, where you take a point away when people think you’re not going to.You’ve just got to be pleased when you do.”
