ipad 1 - is this a good deal?

I use a Galaxy tab but would this model be better to use or even keep as a back up? To me seems a real good deal as it also has 3g, as well as a 12 month warranty.

Lots of apps are no longer compatible with IPad 1's

Thanks. This is my downfall, not really knowing what the original versions do compared to the updated models.
