I read reviews of the premiere in Cardiff and they're all saying he's going to be the best Doctor since Tom Baker.

I cannot wait. I've a feeling Capaldi will be a bit more cantankerous than the previous incarnations! It's going to be TV gold.

Capaldi is awful, truly awful as the Doctor.

The scriptwriters have also decided to turn to comedy caper. Very silly

I thought Capaldi was brilliant, although it wasn't anywhere near the best episode I've ever seen.

Liked the "Trigger's Broom" nod and even the obviously unplanned nod to Robin Williams - "oh captain, my captain".

I enjoyed it. I think it will take a few episodes to settle (sounds like supporting the Albion, doesn't it?)

when was it not very silly, it's kids stuff and always has been, can't believe grown ups can get excited by such crap.

I thought Capaldi was really good in the role. Initially I was worried he was going to play it very Jon Pertwee, which was a worry to me, but it had far more of the Tom Baker about it. Really looking forward to the next stories now. What wasn't good was another slab of crap from Stephen Moffat and having to have Madame Vastra and the gang along but I'm sure the scripts will improve too.

Diabolical, but then I've only enjoyed a handful of episodes since it came back in 2005. I just can't stand the melodrama and pandering to non-sci-fi fans.

I doubt i'll be watching next week.
