Excellent move and a sensible one. Dunk should have kept his shirt after scoring against Cheltenham. He also gives as a bit more pace and height. Time to give him a good run in the side.

Not the real one
This is Dunk's year. Good on the ball pace and around 70 matches under his belt. I personally think it will be a dunk Hughes partnership, but however it is, Dunk needs to take his chance this season.

You'll need them both, over time. Backs draw yellow cards like flies to poo. And injuries.

Dunk is much more of a 'like for like' with Upson than Hughes is. Hughes will have a massively important role to play this season but right now it's absolutely the right decision to play Dunk. Also worth noting that Greer has been brilliant in the opening games so far.

This season should be about who plays with Dunk not who plays with Greer/Hughes. We can't run the risk of losing anothr talented young CB by blocking his path to the first team.

We need all 3 probably another yet.

Greer was superb last night as he has been in all our games this season.

Got to be time to give Dunk a run in the side. He's served a long apprenticeship.

The only flaw in his game has tended to be lapses in concentration but it sounded like that didn't happen last night.

I wouldn't drop Greer though. His influence is far greater than most of us give him credit for.

It struck me after the Birmingham game that it was slightly ridiculous that Dunk is getting less Championship game time than Elphick, Cook and Hall. Now is the time for him to show he can focus for 90+ minutes and keep hold of the shirt.

2 goals conceded in 4 matches.

We have three good centre backs.

It's what happens in front of them that needs to be addressed, and with Holla and Texiera we seem to have taken a large step towards relieving that pressure. Both players like to use the ball and keep possession, this gives time to the defence to organise and keep shape. We still need a left back (hopefully sorted today) and a goal scorer. We should be quite competitive then.
