Brighton & Hove Albion stars Craig Mackail-Smith and Jake Forster-Caskey took time out from a busy playing schedule to help launch the new Albion in the Community (AITC) website. The new site www.albioninthecommunity.org.uk features a dedicated online booking system for all of AITC’s football and sports courses which over 14,000 young people took part in last year, along with information and news on the charity’s 60 projects across Sussex which benefit over 50,000 people annually.
Visitors to the site will also be able to find out more about AITC’s fundraising events and how to help support the charity’s work.

The new site is part of a wider re-branding of the charity and follows the launch of a new logo earlier this year. It will also help support an increased focus on AITC’s fundraising initiatives, which this year aims to double the number of people taking part in the charity’s disability sports programme.AITC chief executive Michael Edwards told seagulls.co.uk, “The new website has been an integral part of our wider plans to improve communications with Albion fans and all of our stakeholders. It will be a great showcase for all the work we do across Sussex with daily news stories and videos highlighting the impact of our projects.
"For the first time people will also be able to book online for our football and sports courses which will hopefully increase the number of young people taking part in them.”
Bookings are currently being taken for AITC football and sports courses in September and October. People wishing to book will need to register with the website first before making a booking.
