Brighton & Hove Albion have completed the signing of Dutch midfielder Danny Holla on a three-year contract, until June 2017.The 26-year-old former Groningen and Den Haag man watched Albion's game at Birmingham City yesterday, before undergoing a medical and signing for the club last night.
He is Albion's sixth new signing and has linked up with his new colleagues at St George's Park, where the team is based ahead of Tuesday night’s SkyBet Championship game at Leeds United.
Albion boss Sami Hyypia said, "Danny is a player who has plenty of top-flight experience in Holland with more than 200 senior appearances, and that experience is something we need.
"He is a deep-lying midfielder and the scouting reports I have seen on him show he likes to get on the ball, pass it and dictate the play – and I hope he can bring that to the team.

"He's not been with a club during pre-season, so we will need to assess where is in terms of his match fitness, but hopefully we can get him up to speed and ready to go."Almere-born Holla began his career with FC Groningen, where he graduated through the club’s youth set up.
During six years as a pro with Groningen, he also spent time on loan with FC Zwolle and VVV-Venlo, before switching to Den Haag in 2012. He’s made 212 senior appearances, scoring 39 goals.
