The cheer was because he got up to let the ref know where the throw in should be taken from.

The biggest cheer of the night was when Lua Lua came on for the fat bloke in the number 10 shirt.
We actually started to look like a team for the last 22 minutes.
If the club want a fat bloke I'll roll up for 10% of what he costs. (6.5% if I get unlimited free pies)
