Ebanks-Blake is a player that is woefully short of game time. Only found a club in December last season and went on to only make 9 league appearances before being released.

Thanks for posting this. Given where we are I would consider those in bold. Bit twitchy about Ebanks-Blake......

Of that list I would just about take Billy Sharp, Vaz Te, Becchio or Jackson. Jackson being the only one on a free, and having not played for a year, a bit of a risk for the wages he'd probably want. Sharp, Vaz Te and Becchio would cost at least £1.5 to £2m each and on decent wages, I'm sure the club are aware of them but exploring better value opportunities with more of a re-sale value.

The rest are either practically disabled, or sh1t.

Sorry fella nothing personal but these are not the players we should be targeting......

We should have our sights higher than freebies at this point in the window, if we wanted any of the above or if they were any good they would either be here now or snapped up by someone else.

I'm not saying we should target all of those players but some of them are undoubtedly good options.

yep wait for the right player
and then let another club step in and sign him or find out he is already on to higher wages or wait until the season starts so said player is already miles behind the ones you have

That's a limited list to some of those available in this country. It doesn't include players at a club that could be persueded to come to us or a shedload thsa may be available from abroad, a pot we've dipped into before

Yup. Something that happens to us and the other 91 league clubs at one point or another. We're not a special case.
