He's very good from few times seen him so deffo take the LB, and I reckon I'd take the money on Buckley purely due to injury history although aware we need a forward brought in

Saw this in the Buckley bid link.
Based on yesterday's formation we need youth to provide the up and down runs.
If Ward wanted to push through a move to us he could have handed in a transfer request. Let him rot and pick up his money, bonus, loyalty payments...
Sami really should be using his contacts at Anfield to get deals done..

Can we afford his train fare?

Robinson would be a significant downgrade, he's struggled in his previous spells away from Liverpool. Steer well clear

Sent off three times last season, playing for Blackpool. That's all I remember him for. No idea if he's an effective downgrade.

maybe this is the kid in the wsl in full Liverpool kit? Is Jack Robinson age 5, with a crew cut per chance? He runs down the stairs with pace.

Agree with you on this point, otherwise we will be looking at the same problem next summer. Additionally if this report is to be believed why has it taken until the season is underway to look elsewhere for a left back. If we couldn't get the deal done re Ward we should have recruited plan B before the season started.

I think he was quite shit at Blackpool last season but a loan move will suit the clubs policy of spending as little as possible on the team.

But it's not as black and white as we'd like to believe. If he hands in a transfer request he effectively loses a 7 year loyalty bonus, and a promotion bonus. That would amount to a fair wedge. It seems Wolves are wanting any party interested in taking Ward to cover those bonuses owed.

Out of curiosity, if your employer owed you a years salary in relation to a bonus, would you hand in your notice and move to another company, earning a lesser basic salary, and foregoing your bonus?

All the ££ in the bank from Ulloa and possibly Buckley and still looking at loans? Not a great long term strategy unless there is a promising left back in the DS or u 18. Not exactly a confidence boost to Chicksen either.

We're playing hardball with Wolves.

I expect the Ward deal to go through on the final day when Wolves no longer have any cards left to play.

In the mean time, stories linking us to other LB's are just increasing the pressure on Wolves who don't want Ward's wages on their books but want to extract as much as they can out of us,

Seeing how we played on sat with the full backs pushed so far up the pitch we eh
We will need a new lb and rb Calde and Bruno don't have the pace to get back and defend. Long season a head a decent side will expose us.

Chicksen = totally agree.....but Saturday's team clearly shows Sami does not...

To be honest, from the players that we've got, l would rather see Calderon at left back than Chicksen. But yes obviously we are in urgent need of a left back, preferably the return of Ward, but if it's not to be, than someone else with plenty of experience very soon.

Jack is far better than anyone we have at the moment. Likes a tackle, fast and is good going forward. Blackpool didnt fit his style however we should. Problem he has as a local liverpool lad was in controlling his enthusiasm when playing at Anfield and tends to go in hard. Hopefully he will calm down a little and do well.
I believe LFC want to keep him even though they willing to pay Sevilla millions for Moreno so he isnt that bad, he can play.
Good for both parties.
