Brighton & Hove Albion are advising fans to allow plenty of time when coming to tomorrow's first match of the new SkyBet Championship season against Sheffield Wednesday at the Amex.
*
The key message is arrive early, and soak up the atmosphere ahead of Sami Hyypia's first Championship game at the stadium.New season-ticket holders (and existing season-ticket holders who have moved seats or switched age brackets) should have received brand new smartcards to gain access to the Amex, and for use with ecash.
*
Existing season-ticket holders (apart from those moving seats or switched age brackets) should continue to use the same smartcard used last season.

Please note: While we don't envisage any major issues, we have found an extremely small number of cards where they have been inactive for three months may require reactivation. If the card fails at the turnstile, a visit to the temporary ticket office would be required, so we would advise fans to take this into consideration and arrive as early as possible.
*
The club is also asking supporters who have tickets to collect to arrive at least one hour before kick-off in order to allow enough time, as there are a higher number of collections than usual - and the supporters services team will be operating from a temporary unit (situation opposite the club store) for the next four matches.
*
Meanwhile, those supporters with pre-booked parking at the University of Sussex and the Bridge Car Park are also asked to allow additional time, as there will be a lot of first-time users of those car parks.
We would like to thank supporters in advance for their assistance as above.
