[Official Site] PRE-MATCH BRIEF: ALBION V SHEFFIELD WEDNESDAY

The wait for the new Championship season is finally over as Albion kick off their campaign against Sheffield Wednesday tomorrow afternoon, with new manager Sami Hyypia taking charge of his first competitive game.
We hope you’ll give Sami, his coaching staff, and of course the club’s summer signings a big Amex welcome,*and we are asking fans to arrive early as we are expecting a busy day with it being the first game of the season.
New season-ticket holders (and existing season-ticket holders who have moved seats or switched age brackets) should have received brand new smartcards for access and ecash. Existing season-ticket holders (apart from those moving seats or switched age brackets) should continue to use the same smartcard used last season.
Please note:*While we don't envisage any major issues, we have found an extremely small number of cards where they have been inactive for three months may require reactivation. If the card fails at the turnstile, a visit to the temporary ticket office would be required, so we would advise fans to take this into consideration and arrive as early as possible.
Please also be aware that the ticket collection kiosk is housed in the new temporary ticket office; these will be located opposite the Superstore, on the external concourse.

All of the latest pre-match news is also available throughout the build-up to the game on our official*Facebook*page and the official Twitter feed*@OfficialBHAFC, while behind-the-scenes images will continue to be published on our Instagram feed (@officialbhafc).
Pre-Match Activities
Arrive early to enjoy food and beverages before the game. Dick’s Bar will be open from 11.30am with the Seven Stars Sports Bar opening from midday – both will be serving a range of food and drinks. Post-match they will be open until 8pm.
We also have the Brighton Golf Lab open between 1.30pm and 2.30pm, hosting a nearest-to-the-pin competition: the perfect opportunity for golf fans to get a taste of the high-spec golf simulator for FREE.
Please note: with external catering now available, our concourses will open at the slightly later time of 1.30pm this season.
Brighton & Hove Albion Superstore
The club’s superstore has a new look following a summer refurbishment. There is a brand new range of matchday and training kit from our new kit partner Nike. The Superstore proved extremely popular at the Southampton friendly, and we are expecting it to be very busy tomorrow, with fans buying their new Albion strips for the season.
