He's stating the obvious. We will come down at some point. We have ambition. A nice shiny ground and top class training facilities (category one) are not produced to float about in the lower reaches of the football league forever.

if we got promoted we wouldn't be able to compete for the top 6 would we, we would definitely come down eventually, bloom isn't abramovic ffs

At some point everyone "will come back down" apart from Man Utd, Arsenal, Liverpool and Tottenham.

Even Chelsea and Man City could get relegated if their sugar daddies pulled out.

He didn't mean straight away. Just that if we got promoted, then whether it be in two or five or ten or twenty years, the chances are we'd be relegated back again at some point. Just like more or less any and every promoted club eventually do. There's only about six or seven clubs in the land that are genuinely relegation-proof.

All have been in the 2nd Division (championship) at some point except Arsenal so relegation is to be expected at some point..
