"Steven Naismith has bought tickets for Everton home games to donate to unemployed people across Liverpool. The 27-year-old forward, who joined the club from Rangers in 2012, said: “I come from Ayrshire in the west of Scotland and spent a lot of my life in Glasgow – a city that, at times, has suffered from high unemployment."

Not all footballers are money pinching ass-wipes!

Great respect to this man

Good to see this sort of thing make the news (although I suspect that many other footballers do probably give money to charities and donate tickets as well but don't seek the publicity).

I know it's easy for players like this to be generous as they can easily afford it and it would be great to think that this might encourage other sportsmen and women to do something similar (if they don't already).

Good to see.
