"A family mourning a stillborn baby have been set upon by a gang in a park in Essex.

They were trying to release some balloons in the baby girl's memory at High Woods Country Park in Colchester when they were attacked, police said.

The father was kicked and punched to the ground, his three children were assaulted and a family friend sustained two broken fingers.

Police said the "sacred" balloons were also burst in the attack, on 23 July.

Two men, two women and two teenagers from Colchester were arrested on suspicion of assault and released on police bail until 19 September.

The father was repeatedly kicked and punched to the ground, and a family friend - a woman in her 40s - was also punched to the face and received two broken fingers."

No mention of race or skin colour. Don't suppose bushy will have a view on this one then.

Unless there's a second side to the story we're not being given, seems like a clear case of ferals that need to be culled sometime soon for the greater good of the species.

taking away the emotive aspect of this story makes it distressing, including the emotive content makes is disgusting.

It's a sad day when you hope there's more to this than what has been reported.

Because without some form of premeditation all that's left is a horrific story that's almost beyond my comprehension.

IT does not say unprovoked in the lik, i reckon there is more to this than just "feral" people out attack others. Even animals have a motive.

A man who was found dead on a west London street was stabbed as he tried to flee from a bar, police have said.

Tony Charlery, 59, was stabbed in the neck as he tried to "run away from his attackers" at the Mau Mau bar on Portobello Road in Notting Hill.

The emergency services were called late on Friday to reports of a stabbing but the grandfather died at the scene in the early hours of Saturday.

A murder investigation has been launched. No arrests have been made.

"Tony was a local man and a much loved grandfather. His family are devastated by his death in such a brutal way."

The trouble is that not all the facts are always reported in these cases in order to make the story more sensational than it is.
A couple of years ago our local rag had a picture of a badly beaten lad on the front page who had been attacked one Friday night in town by 2 others. I then heard from my own boys that this lad had actually punched a girl in the face earlier in the evening and was set on later by the boyfriend. He also had a reputation for being a bit of a scumbag.
