Just got notice of this on my Twitter feed.

It seems Latest TV have had an online presence but are now transferring to the TV screen.

Local TV channel covering the 'Greater Brighton Area'.

The problem with London Live is it trying to aim programming at 8M diverse inhabitants of the capital of which very few are tuning in. Latest TV has a chance of being one of the better minority channels on local cable and Freeview providing the advertising revenues are there. In Humberside no-one will admit to watching Estuary TV and some say the viewing figures are massaged by Virgin Media customers flicking through the channels on the box with their remote.

'Local' TV. Just like local radio it starts with loads of stations (Southern FM for instance) that sell out to a national company (Heart). Same as BBC Radio Brighton which became Sussex and is now BBC Radio in the South most of the time. The whole idea of going digital was to enable more local channels to broadcast. We'll see. But best of luck to them.

We have little enough news to fill a half-hour South East Today every day, let alone a whole channel for a smaller catchment area
