Going by your own posts on NSC, what character do you most closely resemble from Dads Army, or which posters on NSC with these traits do you recognise?

Captain Mainwaring = a rose tinted patriot to the cause supporting Bloom, Barber and Burke.

Sergeant Wilson = a ditherer who can’t make up his mind up on whether he is a bed wetter or supports Bloom, Barber and Burke.

Lance Corporal Jones = always has an in the know story to tell, but panics and hits back when taking criticism from other posters who can’t take it up ‘em.

Private Walker = a spiv type who reads football rumour sites and pretends to be in the know. He can’t be trusted as much of what he says is bull****.

Private Pike = a naïve person still at school who stays up well beyond his bed time playing Championship Manager. He always believes all transfer rumours, and sometimes wets his bed when transfers don’t come off.

Private Frazer = a person who believes we are all doomed and are bound to be relegated because we lack ambition and can’t sign all the players we want irrespective of cost.
Private Godfrey = a bed wetter.

Air Raid Warden Hodges = a person who delights antagonising and winding up other posters on NSC.

Mrs Pike = a person who is very protective of those on NSC who are getting beaten up by other posters. She is rumoured to be having an affair with Barber.

Reverend Farthing = a well-meaning poster who is often misunderstood. Despite many setbacks is supportive of Bloom, Barber and Burke.

Verger Yeatman = a hostile trouble maker who has other affiliations. He is not wanted on NSC and is often told to be quiet and go back to his own forum.

Sergeant Wilson was not a ditherer - he was the perfect foil to Captain Mainwaring. Whenever the Captain got things wrong, Wilson would put him straight or question his plans in a calm, unfussy manner. "Do you think that's wise, Sir?".

I would categorise him as someone on NSC who puts people straight without having to resort to insults.
