Following on from an earlier, similar themed, thread, I know there are a number of Cricket players here. It would interesting to see members responses.
For me:
Best:
Horsham (Always an outstanding wicket, and a lovely venue)
Ashurstwood (Excellent wicket)
Glynde Park (The ground north of the manor, poor wicket but a beautiful country venue-since closed)
Street and Westmeston (Lovely venue beneath the Downs)
I'm sure there are others I will be reminded of.
Worst:
Hove Rec (Or Dog Turd Alley as we called it)
Wivelsfield Green (The wicket, going back a number of years, was over paced, and at times very dangerous)
Rottingdean (I think the wicket has been much improved in recent times, but the slope, and the lack of bounce, used to be a real problem)
