as a big fan of Heskey, have to say :lolol:

to be fair its not even a rumour, its the musings of a random football fan, too young to understand the reason players go to Oz is to retire from proper football

"Aspirations of becoming a successful sports journalist" and he doesn't even understand basic grammar :lolol:

"After losing Ulloa, although Brighton brought in Chris O’Grady, Heskey could offer similar qualities to the Argentine and could form a partnership with or cover for Chris O’Grady."

Makes no ****ing sense AT ALL.

"With their winger’s crossing abilities, Heskey could score a range of headed goals and finishes and also offer knock downs and flick ons to his teammates."

Obviously has never seen us play considering none of our wingers can cross to save their lives. Clumsy apostrophe also suggests that we have one winger. 'Knock-downs' and 'flick-ons' should really be hyphenated.

"Heskey would not cost a fee and with Brighton now having plenty of money, to bring Heskey to the club would offer a different type of aerial presence and could easily compete with the physicality of defenders."

Heskey wouldn't cost a fee, but that's ok because we have 'plenty of money' with which we can pay no fee for him with. WTF? That comma is also hideously misplaced.

You will find it tough being a journalist if you can't actually write a coherent sentence in English. Someone should really let him know.

all that grammer nonsence is for sub-editors, the real job of a sportrs journo is to come up with something to fill n inches of column space. theres a dozen pages everyday in a half dozen tabloids up for grabs. on this form he'll do OK, its got a link to and some interest right?

Sort of.

In modern internet terms, that sort of site is all about the clickbait (similar to Buzzfeed, 101greatgoals etc..) - quantity over quality, x1000. The standard of writing, whilst pretty shocking, is of little concern to whoever's running things at 'theFL72'. All about drawing in gullible users with semi-intriguing headlines that don't reveal what's inside until they click through, generating page views and raking in the ad revenue. If you look at their twitter feed, it's all the same: https://twitter.com/FBL72

That's interesting. I know the internet is essentially adspace now, that everything of interest comes with pop-ups and exhortations to buy buy buy, but I hadn't really thought about how these sites manage to exist when a lot are awful. You've answered my musings.
