Sounds a bit daft, but it worked for me in the same situation:

- unplug everything in the house, including fridge, washing machine etc.
- reset the circuit board
- plug everything back in

It's something to do with moisture getting into one of the sockets or something. Good luck!

Still a short in the circuit. Suspect any appliance with a transformer, shaver, shaving light etc.

Have you checked if your house has been hit by lightening ? You need to pop out side and have a careful look for those small telltale signs like a fire on the roof or a f**king great big hole.

Strangely enough, the house did get hit by lightning, but that was about 8 years ago now.

Everything unplugged now and still nothing.

Anyone know a good electrician?

I don't suppose you could re-write that in "Stupid" could you please.

I'm not an expert but I think he means flick all the switches on what you and I would call fuses to off and then push the reset button on the main board. Then flick the switches on the 'fuses' to on one by one, testing after each one you've turned on. They should be labelled explaining what they control so you can test an appliance on that circuit.

Are you still in the dark, or is there an end to this tragedy?
