Booooo I like batting first!

Mushy is our leader,
Mushy is our spinner,
And when he bowls a ball,
Up goes the umpires finger!

Coat. :shootself

Kirtley strikes early, Grayson caught by Ambrose

Got a feeling Nasser is the prize wicket considering the form he's in at mo

8-1

He doesn't bowl quick - he's slow
And his wife's a physio
It's Mark Davis...

Mushy's still world class - went to Tunbridge Wells and saw a day of the away Kent game. 5 wickets in an innings despite feeling unwell and having spent the evening lying in a darkened hotel room.

With Kirtley's being overlooked time and time again for England, it's got to be Sussex's best ever chance of winning the championship.

I think there are only 3 teams left who are yet to win the Championship - us, Northants, and Durham (who have only played for about 5 years). I think Glamorgan won their first title only 2 or 3 years ago.

Victory is required here though. And we all hate f***ing Surrey.

Got him! Jason Lewry strikes and it's 23/2

It's about time the BBC website introduced SCCC as "title chasing Sussex"

Come on boys.....:clap2:

This is the big partnership to break, if Flower gets going he could be dangerous.

Just lulling the batsmen into a false sense of security!

Occasionally he ends up buying his wickets for 30-40 runs each, but an average of 21.94 and having taken 15 more wickets than anyone else is more than Sussex could have hoped for at this stage of the season on comparatively good batting wickets. With the wickets cracking up in the 2nd half of the season, the 100 wicket season is a real possibility.

Before today's game:
Overs 341.3 Maidens 61 Runs 1141 Wickets 52 Average 21.94

We've all got to hope that Monty, Murray and Adams can set a big enough target for Mushy to bowl at.

C'mon Sussex!

Good to get Flower out finally. Hopefully the bowlers come out refreshed and raring to go.
