What's the evolution of a fishing trip?

Seeing Richie begin to get personal had me thinking 'well he got to stage 5 (an arbitrary number I just thought) quickly', had me thinking what are the stages of a good t'internet fishing trip, with added troll:-

Stage 1 - Pick a subject broad enough that everyone will have an opinion.

Stage 2 - Pick a tactic: Sit back and let everyone fight among themselves until someone points out that you haven't posted then come back with a couple of follow ups before disappearing again, or respond to each post with increasingly nonsensical responses until it becomes beyond obvious you are fishing

Tips
Pick a subject you don't care about to make it enjoyable.
Pick a subject that makes controversial opinions float not just have it. You want to see a fight not have one.
Subtly egg on the person who has the most controversial opinion but not make a stance. This way you make him more confident of his own opinion and therefore more involved in the thread but no one will argue with you.

Don'ts
Make a extreme stance and have people yell at you. Be in the middle.
Argue. Watch others.
Occasionally poke a hole in everyone arguments that isn't really a whole. This makes alot of people flip of the handle.

GOOD PLACES TO START

A video on YouTube. Not too many views. Not to little.


Forums. (NOT NSC its too easy and not satisfying watching beside we are family.)
